Real-time Speed Display - The primary function of a vehicle actuated speed display is to provide drivers with real-time information about their current speed.
Speed Threshold Alerts - The display can be programmed to set speed thresholds. When a driver exceeds a predefined speed limit, the display may change colour, flash, or provide a visual alert to draw attention to the speeding behaviour.
Speed Limit Reminder - Many speed displays also have the capability to show the posted speed limit for the road segment. This serves as a reminder to drivers of the legal speed they should adhere to.
Emoticon Feedback - Some speed displays use emoticons, such as a happy face or a frowning face, to provide feedback to drivers. A happy face indicates that the driver is within the speed limit, while a frowning face indicates that they are exceeding the speed limit.
